Finally, the last chapter of our (Irwin & I) Easter journey.
I've been to Wineglass bay before but this is the first time i drove from Launceston. The sights were much different compared to driving from Hobart. This was one of the few pics that i posted.... Looks like a Rook/Castle from a chess set.

We stopped in Campbell town. I was rather fascinated with this collection of birds nests in the bush. How many can you see?

This is as close as i could get.

Approaching Freycinet

Honeymoon Bay... somehow looked different from the last few times I was here. It's still my favourite place around Freycinet.

Honeymoon bay from the other side.

At the carpark.. we met a friendly/hungry wallaby. We didn't feed it of course (we rather feed ourselves). Can't say the same for the other people.

A new pathway up to the Wineglass Bay Lookout. First time on it.

From the Lookout...

From the Lookout... the 2 travelmates towards the end of their bro-mance. See the 2 ends of the beach....

This is the closer 'end', where most people languish lazily.

A busker was around doing some hip-hop for entertainment.

Nice lil' shell.. :)

Walking along the bay.... See the colony of birdies that stay at this end.

Not an attractive sight.. but i found it intriguing. This was the lunch of one of the birdies.

Yes ladies and gentlemen.. not a one-time meal.. but an entire buffet!
Wait a minute... there was a pic of a dead penguin chick.. but it doesn seem to have uploaded.. dang... Guess that would be for the best... you'd never watch Happy Feet the same way again once u've seen it.

We finally reached the end of the beach :)

This is a broken shell of a prawn-killer.. That's the actual name of the little thing.

After Wineglass, we went to the lighthouse first because I've always missed out on coming here. I thought the lighthouse would have been massive.. but apparently it's this short stump of a building.

But the view was good. In between the distant mountain range on the left, and the mountain on the right.. there's a small patch of white, which is Wiineglass Bay. Haha..

After the lighthouse, we made our way to Sleepy Bay. I love this part of the walk... seems so colourful.. especially the ocean-floor.

The walk is about 10 minutes i think.... and this was about 30%.

Here we have Mr Yong looking down unto the bay itself. The view is obstructed by the trees tho.

The beach... :) I dunno why they call it Sleepy Bay.. but i do recall yawning when i got there.. Very calm and quiet place.

We were fascinated by the rock formation. You could actually climb into that hollowed rock if you wanted to. I did some rock climbing around the back :)

Just a little bit of the view from the yawning rock.

I normally don't stop at Richardson beach (if that's the right name), but I did this time... The sunset just looked too good to miss out.

Bye bye Apollo & Chariots... See u tomoro

I suppose a trip to Freycinet warranted a sidetracking to Bicheno for some refueling :P My pancakes came with butterscotch i think... and Irwins came with... jam?
